I recently read this fic: http://archiveofourown.org/works/991116/chapters/1956392 in which there are photos of John mentioned from during his time in the army. I would love it if someone would try to draw them. Their descriptions are rather specific, especially when it comes to his expression in the photos, not just of the "John in army gear" kind.
