I have a wonderful and stunning and incredible fic rec that's a Sherlock/Frankenstein crossover. It filled me with feels and the urge to track down Victor Frankenstein and hit him repeatedly in the face with blunt objects because this is how it SHOULD have been instead of him being a total asshole.
You may all be way ahead of me on this, but I've just discovered atlinmerrick's Feeding Sherlock (http://atlinmerrick.livejournal.com/3869.html) fic. Hilarious food porn, for thirteen chapters, and I may never view toast and jam without hyperventilating ever again.
I was introduced to her work via a rec to Suck, which kind of fritzed my brain. And the writer has just said a new chapter is on the way. *dances like it's christmas*
Just read this one last night and was blown away by this author's masterful use of language and symbolism. This is a fic to be savored, each word building a beautifully complex picture of Sherlock's lifelong preoccupation with the heart, first as merely the inexplicable engine powering every living creature's Transport and then-- as something in John Watson's very pulse beat stirs fascination within Sherlock's mind-- Sherlock finds he has to deal not only with the physical/biological parameters of the human heart's purpose but must also come to acknowledge an elusive, additional component that leaves him even more unsettled and intrigued. This fic is called "Suddenly Your Heart Showed Me My Way" by hitlikehammers. There is also a sequel called "The Beat and Beating Heart."
I just stumbled upon this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ2HnMEpeaI&feature=plcp) about the Holmes brothers by forexitsigns (http://www.youtube.com/user/forexitsigns). It's gorgeous and makes the heart ache.
This is one of my favorite videos. The Fall by hinkypink77 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys_lTdsmJVk&feature=my_liked_videos&list=LLfIMEAW22ci6YhcMUI4ufAw).
Finished mid-May so you may have read it, but if you haven't you must! It's got good fast plot, is full of hate sex, and fighting but no dub-con. Swamped in luscious dark humor.
