Hi everyone. Sorry not to have been posting much in the way of location reports but this last week has been a bit manic in RL (rather like something out of a Wodehouse novel

impulsreader has rather aptly suggested) however I'm off again to London again this next weekend.This is to do more location spotting, and also give a location guided tour (yipee) to some visiting Americans.

Before that, however, I'd like to sing the praises of the artistic capabilities of my friend

magnavox_23 from Down Under who makes wonderful wallpapers. She's done lots for different fandoms, and different friends, but she's been doing a series for me recently, with a Sherlock theme.

She's been trying to inspire me through the bit of a traumatic year; be it with the horrors of Reichenbach or the angst I've had after moving out of London. Another friend,

themadblonde from the States, produced some really inspirational text to go on them. This truly has been a trans-global effort.

Here's the first one which

magnavox_23 produced for me at a rather dark time in February. The photo is one by

gwendraith. Everyone had fun thinking up the text to go on that one.

This next one was created after I had a nice sunny visit to Bart's when I was playing there on a lovely hot Friday afternoon with

a_better_thing. I was feeling quite cheerful for once, and

themadblonde had also gone all Sherlock in her comments in an email to me producing another version of the friends/conductors of light conversation. I thought what she said would make a good inspirational motto for those of us hanging around waiting for this blasted hiatus to end and a good use of my photo.

This last one is a bit of an amusement. It's a bit of a wink (from

themadblonde, and through her, Mycroft) about just why we are waiting and the fact that it will produce something for all our patience. Again my friend across the pond produced a line that was so in character in an email I had to get

magnavox_23 to do something. It also allowed us to use some of the photos I had taken on Gower Street when I was there last.

We may yet add other characters and wallpapers to the collection. I'm not so good on Lestrade's voice, and we are not so sure about what we can do with Mrs Hudson. Molly does merit something certainly though, considering who she is and what she has put up with to come through with the help she has. She may be next in the series.
