Thursdays are 'Rec Day'.

Do you have a fic, art, or vid rec? What Sherlock things should people check out?

And then, to make it better: fluffy fic with adorable art as inspiration:

I would like to rec Impractical_Beekeeping's 'Songs of Expedience'-series: http://archiveofourown.org/series/18557 (http://archiveofourown.org/series/18557)

Even though she doesn't get the attention she imo deserves, she's a trooper and keeps writing her interesting and intriguing tales.

And my absolute favourite fic in this fandom - though I'm not sure if it hasn't been recced before: 'Living Lore' by Silver Pard: http://m.fanfiction.net/s/6732555/1/ (http://m.fanfiction.net/s/6732555/1/)

I love this fic to pieces and cannot be without it, especially this passage:

"The London Metropolitan Archives contains some forty-five miles of archives, modern records, plans, audio-visual and printed material in its strong-rooms, dating from 1067. It covers architecture, cartography, medicine, education, transport, migration, science and technology, law and order, religion, customs, campaigning activities...

listen, London says.

«Listening. ("please state the nature of your enquiry") ("how may we be of service?")»

Sherlock Holmes and John Watson of 221B Baker Street, Marylebone, Westminster, NW1/W1, London says.

The reply is almost insulted: «("please specify") [13th century. Directly or via French spécifier – late Latin specificare – specificus (see specific)]»

seek, obtain, protect and preserve all information pertaining to Sherlock Holmes and John Watson of 221 Baker Street, London says patiently.

«Understood,» remarks the Archives. «Immortalise. /ɪˈmɔː.təl.aɪz/ 3rd person present singular of immortal ['deathless', late 14c., from Latin immortalis from in- 'not' (see in-(1)) + mortalis 'mortal' (see mortal (adj.)). In reference to fame, literature, etc., attested from 1510s].»

yes, London says. immortalise."

Ash, Gold, Quartz (http://archiveofourown.org/works/327895), John/Sherlock, Being heartless is not an advantage, the smouldering embers in his chest tell him. Swallow your pride.

Endure (http://archiveofourown.org/works/413564), Mycroft/Lestrade, Alpha!Mycroft and Omega!Lestrade get locked into a room together as Lestrade goes into heat. The inevitable occurs.

Valentines Card (http://alafaye.livejournal.com/296168.html?thread=590056#t590056), John/Lestrade, It wasn’t a very big card, or a very intricate one. It was in all honesty a little bit silly, with a cartoon bee and ‘Bee My Valentine’ written above it. But it felt ridiculously heavy in his pocket.
