Summary: One morning an infant is left on Mycroft’s doorstep with a note, signed by a woman named Laura. As Mycroft tries to find out who would entrust a child into his care he slowly opens his heart to the infant and lets the other people in his life that he’s kept at arms length in more, bit by bit.
Authors Notes: I was asked what tropes I haven’t written that I wanted to write and I mentioned the “baby left at the door of childless couple” trope and how I wanted to write it for Sherlock/Molly and Mycroft/Anthea and I was encouraged to write them both. So this is the Mycroft/Anthea answer.
