Any spoilers, images larger than 475px wide or containing NWS images, and large amounts of text, should be under a cut tag. If you aren't sure how to do a cut, you can read about it here.

Use the appropriate tags for warnings with fics, art, vids, etc.

When posting fic, please use a header similar to the one below:

Hi there! I was wondering if you allow posts promoting fic exchanges to go up on your community? Holmestice is a all-Holmes fanworks exchange in its 3rd year and 6th round and we'd love to promote the fact that sign ups are open in your community. If it's cool, I'd post a banner and a little blurb with a link over to our sign-up post. Although we welcome ALL iterations of Holmes, Sherlock (TV) is definitely the most popular!

Yes, but we don't allow file sharing. LiveJournal gets tetchy about stuff like that and we don't want to risk the community on something like that. We can talk about them, you can tell people where to buy them, but we can't have links to a file share on here.
