So, the most amazing Killerweasel has turned ownership of this community to me, but she is still staying on as a co-mod. (And, I am beyond grateful to her for still doing the rec day and Dear Jim posts and helping me feel my way through this!)
We've also brought on three new co-mods (who are so saving me as my real life is eating me whole!). Scandalbaby, Wynterblackwell, and Kizzia have joined our staff and I am grateful for their help. So, if you need anything, give any of us a yell.
If there is anything you'd like to see on here, please let me know. So far we have our rec days and our Dear Jim request days. Scandalbaby has suggested that on Saturdays we take an article from the Holmes Newsletter and put it up for discussion here, so we're going to give that a run this weekend.
Thanks for all your support and great posts, guys. Keep them coming!

Just A Note

Now, I'm thrilled to be keeping this running, but, I also know that I really (REALLY) can't do this alone, so if anyone out there wants to jump on board and help, I would very very appreciate it. Just PM me and I'll get you set up.
As to Killerweasel, I hope you'll join me in giving her a HUGE thanks for running this show. I know she's put a lot of time and effort into it and she did a wonder ful job.

A few things.
This community has existed for over a year now. There are 577 of you. That's fantastic. :)
I got an email saying the paid time will be expiring on June 4. I'm not going to be able to renew it until the week after that, so you might have to deal with ads for a week or so.
There's a known bug with LJ right now that automatically defaults all posts to communities to 'members only', so if you want your posts public, you'll need to change that. This has been going on since the last update they did and seems to be happening with the majority of communities. So if you've been seeing more locked posts in places, that's why.
Anyways, thank you for sticking around.

Speaking of Series 3...
Since they've started getting things ready for the actual filming next month, anything that might be spoilery- guest stars, actual shots from the episodes being filmed, things like that, please put it under a cut. Do NOT use the spoiler cut because it doesn't work with this layout and it won't actually cut anything.
I don't think episodes names should be considered spoilers because we're going to add them to the tags anyway.
I'm going to ask that once the episodes air, that nothing is uploaded here for 3 reasons: 1.there are a number of other places you can track the files down.
2. file sharing can lead to communities being shut down
3. the majority of things that are uploaded tend to pop up on tumblr even if you don't want it to and that is the fastest way to make your files get yanked from wherever you're hosting it.
How long are things considered to be spoilers? I know the majority of people will either be watching the episodes when they are or getting them shortly afterwards. Are they considered spoilers until the episodes actually air in the US or should there be some sort of a timeframe like '2 months after it airs in the UK'?
Thoughts? Comments?

Wednesdays will be 'Dear Jim, Please Make It Happen' days. This will include plotbunnies of all shapes and sizes for fic, art, and vids.
Thursdays will be 'Rec Days'. You can rec fics, vids, art, etc.

Community rules can be found here. There aren't very many and most of it is pretty straight-forward stuff.
If someone ever needs to get in contact with me, just reply to one of the mod posts or send me a pm. I pretty much live online, so I will get back to you as soon as I am able. If for some reason I'm not available, contact my co-modlaurtew.
Couple of questions for you in the form of a poll. If there's enough interest in either of these or you have another suggestion, we'll start doing these in the near future. Just have to figure which days would work the best.
