Title: On Dates, Drugs, and Destiny
Author: Squire
Beta: Ariane DeVere
Word count: 20,000
Rating: Teen/PG-13
Warnings, kinks and contents: Please note tags on AO3. Drug use is minimal within the story and only for one plot point.
Summary: When Sherlock Holmes and John Watson first meet in the lab at Bart’s, it isn’t actually for the first time. But why does only one of them know this - and should the other one keep the secret, or will revealing the truth ruin their friendship forever?
A story of John being not Sherlock’s date, of Sherlock being around way too much drugs, and a Destiny that always has to have the last word.
I’m posting this on Squire’s behalf because her computer is fading fast. This is another fantastic story from this very talented writer. It’s full of humour, angst and canon twists, with one particular re-writing of Doyle canon that made my jaw drop at its brilliance. I may be biased as her beta, but I totally recommend this fic.
