I have a load of photos to sort through and process following a mad three-day dash, travelling 300 miles to and from Wales, and rushing around places of interest in and around Cardiff trying to keep dry ...

We got to:

The National Museum of Wales
Cardiff Castle
St Woolos Cemetery, Newport
Tredegar House, nr Newport
The Three Bears Pit, near Castel Coch
The village and church of St Hilary (did I spell that right?!)

The National Botanic Garden of Wales was also lovely ... but not of interest on this comm ... ;-P

For the time being have few fun action shots of me scrambling about in the Three Bears Pit (aka, in Sherlokian terms, Dewer's Hollow, also used by Torchwood apparently) on a visit with [livejournal.com profile] linda_joyce and [livejournal.com profile] garienos on Monday ... It was lovely to actually have a proper quarryquest to do after so much running around in cities hunting locations. I got quite reminiscent!

It's a long way down ...

Another one to show things to scale ... anyone spot that dog running past?

The view from inside looking up ...

How one gets in (or out) without TV magic for access ...

I also popped back here early this morning with [livejournal.com profile] garienos to say goodbye, quote John's eulogy over the grave site and get a better understanding of the environs around and about. Then we left for our 300 mile trip back to the East of England. (And yes, you can call me sentimental).

I will give more details, maps, access information and commentary when I have rounded up the results from three snap-happy people with cameras, and checked the episodes for the grabs I need.
