Molly and Mary decide to form their own partnership and solve these cases, and when they begin to do a better job than Sherlock and John ever did only then does it catch Sherlock's attention and bring him out of his Moriarty-focused worldview, inciting some healthy competition between the two duos. But when the relationship between Sherlock and Molly begins to change from friendly rivals to something more, the specter of Moriarty's presence could bring it all crashing down around them.

Summary: It starts with an out of the blue phone call from Janine to Molly after the wedding, inviting her to a girls day out to celebrate Mary's birthday. What Molly first assumes is an attempt for Janine to get close to Sherlock turns into something else when Janine admits she's attracted to Molly. They initially settle for friendship but things become complicated when secrets, blackmail, returned attraction and failing engagements are thrown into the mix, and Molly has to decide what she wants for herself and what she's willing to do to get it.
Authors Notes: Written for the Summer 2015 round of Holmestice. My first attempt at femmeslash for this fandom, so hopefully it works.

x_disturbed_x was my recipient, and I used two prompts for this, Janine and Molly hit it off after the wedding. Before they start something, Molly ought to break up with Tom first. and Janine happens to be Irene’s ex. It plays with canon but should fit in between the end of "The Sign of Three" and the events at Christmas in "His Last Vow."

And that’s what Sherlock cares about; perfecting his tricks, getting his runs spot on … winning.
However the media are more interested in the ongoing feud between him and Charly, the antics of his army of fans (Shezza’s Sugars), and the fact he’s the only pro male snowboarder in an openly gay relationship - with John Watson, an ex-army combat medic who is now Sherlock’s personal trainer as well as his lover. Unfortunately for Sherlock, and for John, it looks like the media might be right about what’s really going to affect how Sherlock competes on the slopes of Rosa Khutor.
