I was going to leave this for a few weeks because I’ll probably be tweaking the transcripts for ages yet, but decided to do it now as a sort of early Valentine gift to the few members of the fandom who still might be interested in such a thing.

So all the transcripts - from A Study in Pink (both the broadcast version and the pilot), all the way through Many Happy Returns and the Special, right the way up to and including The Final Problem - are now downloadable as Word or PDF files.

There’s a file of all the transcripts in their entirety; a file of just the speaker and spoken words in every episode; and a file giving all the words spoken by 27 individual characters listed together, e.g. every line spoken in all episodes by Mycroft, or by John, or by Mrs Hudson etc.

And for those people who have already got heavily annotated/edited earlier versions of the transcripts, there are also Season 4 only versions of the full transcripts and of the speakers and spoken words.

To access them, go to my blog here and click on the link at the end of the red line starting “The transcripts are downloadable.”

Transcripts of all the Special Features on the Season 4 DVD are now available here. They’re listed in the Index, or scroll down just below the Index to click direct into the pages. “Behind 221B” is a single page; all the others are together in another page.

Now complete! The transcript can be found here.

A link to Part 1 is in the Index or scroll down a little to click into individual parts direct.

Thanks to the utterly sterling work of my brilliant beta team, Part 3 is now up. Click here, and scroll down just below the Index to click into any of the three pages directly. Part 2 has been slightly edited today after I realised that none of us could tell the difference between snow and rain ...

Part 4 (and at the rate I’m currently going, Part 5!) will hopefully go up on Saturday or Sunday.

Part 2 can be found here.

A link to Part 1 is in the Index or scroll down a little to click into Part 2 direct.

I won’t do direct links to individual pages any more, in order to frustrate the spambots.

Part 3 will hopefully go up in a day or two, but I’m beyond exhausted and am struggling to get this done. I thought it’d be less complicated than Detective but it’s harder than I thought. Still, onwards ... *squares shoulders and straightens to full height* Soldiers today.

Part 1 can be found here.

A link to the first page is in the Index or scroll down a little to click into the page direct.

I won’t do direct links to individual pages any more, because spambots are having too much fun.

Part 2 will hopefully go up in a day or two.

The transcript is now complete and can be found here.

A link to the first page is in the Index or scroll down to click into individual later parts.

I won’t do direct links to individual pages any more, because spambots are eagerly offering me many different links to porn sites and Louboutin shoes (is that you, Irene??)

Back in September last year I announced that I had finally made all of my Sherlock transcripts available to download. I have now updated all of the downloads to incorporate the transcript of The Abominable Bride. However, for the benefit of anyone who downloaded earlier versions and then edited/annotated them and doesn’t want to tamper with them, I’ve also added TAB-only files in the hope that they’ll be useful to a few people.

The various downloadable versions of the transcripts are:

1. One single file containing all the episodes (including the pilot, Many Happy Returns and the Special). 473 pages, with a page index and everything! Additionally, there is a TAB-only version.
2. One single file containing all the episodes (including the pilot, MHR and the Special) with just the speaker and the spoken words. No descriptions or voice tones, no snarky asides from your transcriber. A mere 213 pages! Additionally, a TAB-only version.
3. One single file containing a list of all the lines spoken by each of 25 of the characters throughout all the episodes (including the pilot, MHR and the Special). 179 pages, with a handy page index so you can easily see who’s included and then jump to the appropriate character’s lines. Additionally ... no, sorry, you’re on your own with that one.

All files are available to download in Word (.docx) or as a PDF. To save clogging up this comm, if you’re interested in more details, head to my updated LJ blog entry here for the links.

These are transcripts of new material which appears only on the Special Features of the DVD of The Abominable Bride. They do not include descriptions of every visual moment – you should buy the DVD yourself to see those! But I hope that they may be useful in particular to viewers whose first language is not English and/or who are unable to access the subtitles.

There’s no audio commentary on the DVD. I suspect that in a few months there will be a new DVD called something cunning like “The Special Special” and we’ll all be expected to buy it again to get an audio commentary and one or two extra extras.

Warning: Each of the Special Features contains spoilers. Enter with care if you haven’t seen the episode yet.

‘Sherlockology Q&A’

Also, a transcript of the episode itself is here.

With a million thanks and hugs to my fabulous beta team, the transcript is now finished and posted in full:

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Enjoy!

I was going to title this “STAB the Transcript” but then worried that it might be taken as an invitation ... ;)

Anyway, the first part of the transcript is now up. The rest is finished in draft and is with my beta team. All being well, Part 2 should go up tomorrow (Wednesday) and Part 3 on Thursday. I’ll re-announce this when the final part is up.

Part 1 is available here.
